Dr. Joe Lizza, is Assistant Director for Campus Center Operations & Programs at Stockton University (NJ). His primary responsibilities include the management of the universities 154,000 square foot Campus Center. This encompasses program development and implementation, strategic planning and budgeting, technology integration, and human resource management. Lizza received his undergraduate degree from Monmouth University, his master’s degree in Higher Education Administration and his doctorate in Educational Leadership from Rowan University. Lizza has been actively involved with NACA since being a undergraduate student leader and advanced to his current role on the NACA Board of Directors in 2016. His experience includes serving as Chair of the Mid Atlantic Conference, Student Government East Institute Staff, Education & Professional Development Coordinator, Volunteer Development Coordinator and more. He was also named Outstanding Professional (2011) and Outstanding New Professional (2008) by the Mid Atlantic Region. With eleven years of professional experience in higher education, Lizza’s knowledge has afforded him several opportunities to present on topics related to his research interests which include student employment and leadership, organizational culture and change, campus safety and security, emergency preparedness and management, and the use of technology in higher education. In addition, Lizza has written several articles for Campus Activities Programming®. Outside of the world of higher education Lizza enjoys spending time with his wife and two young sons and serving as a volunteer firefighter for the past sixteen years.
