University of Illinois Tells Employees Not to Express Political Leanings on Campus

We recently posted a blog about the University of Illinois telling their employees not to got to on-campus political rallies, place political bumper- stickers on their cars, or wear campaign buttons. The memo has caused controversy on the campus, while others think the university is just trying to make sure they don't appear to be endorsing any particular candidate.

What do you think? Is the university just protecting itself or did they go to far with the memo?
