This afternoon our delegate group has been exploring the vicinity around the convention center and hangin' out!!! We have taken to playin' music everywhere we go.... so we are usually dancing!! YEAH... WE be ROCKIN'!!! Sharon, one of our wonderful CAB members, taught us all how to do the Cupid Shuffle this afternoon so that we can "perform" as we wait for the showcase! ha ha ha!

For lunch we headed to Flannery's which is a cozy neighborhood pub w/ excellent food.  It is reasonably priced and has a fun atmosphere! Our whole group thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

We also spent some time primping for the evening sessions. This primping session included both the girls and the guys... the guys did not get as excited for the glitter hair spray as we girls did, but they were good sports about spiking their hair and waiting for us to do our make-up.

Our group is staying in the Renaissance Grand and we are completely enjoying the Starbucks inside of the hotel and I even discovered that our hotel phone has a button that connects you directly to Starbucks! A dream come true!!

Speaking of caffiene I think I am at a total of 4 caffienated beverages today b/c I have to keep up my energy levels so that the FUN and learning doesn't stop!!! Okay, so I know that we are all tired after traveling today and all, but seriously you all had better drink some Rock Stars and pep up a bit cuz right now everyone is a bit too MELLOW for NACA! energy people... energy!

Sooo EXCITED for the opening event!!!

About melissar823

Hey! Hey! My name is melissa reiss and I'm a sophomore majoring in Communication/Public Relations at Illinois Central College(ICC) in East Peoria, IL. Right now I am in the midst of my final semester at ICC before I transfer to ...well... I'm still undecided on that matter. After I finish my bachelor's degree, I plan to earn my Master's degree in College Student Personnel Development. I desire to work in the GRAND realm of Student Life because I feel very strongly that college is a time of immense life shaping for students and the much of the "shaping" happens through learning outside the classroom. In my free time... ha! that's funny... what free time?? When I'm not helping to plan and execute some amazing CAB event, in class or waitressing, I love hanging out with my fantastic friends and having WAY too much FUN, being creative, sleeping, drinking coffee, travelling, working out, and shopping just to name a few! These little bio boxes provided to assist one in letting everyone know who they are and what they are about are kind of wierd and awkward. Simply for the reason, how does one really create a vivid picture of themselves using just a few typed words in a little box. That being said... I CAN'T WAIT to meet and talk with all of YOU in ST. LOUIS!!!
